With an accomplished and enthusiastic chef/proprietor, Eric’s restaurant is an award-winning, fine-dining eatery in Lindley, Huddersfield. Here, exciting seasonal menus are crafted with flair and imagination. There is emphasis on fine ingredients, which are sourced locally whenever possible.

We offer an A La Carte menu throughout the week, with set menus for lunch and early dinner available. Saturday lunch times are varied, with Afternoon Tea and Brunch often available. On Sunday’s we keep it traditional with a wonderful three course Sunday lunch.

The Chef

Eric Paxman opened Erics in November 2010. Since opening, the restaurant has received various accolades and awards, including the North East's Regional Restaurant of the Year, as voted for by readers of the 'Good Food Guide'.

Eric gained a distinction from his early chef training at Huddersfield Technical College. From there he worked at local restaurants in Huddersfield before travelling & training under the best in the world. Working in London under Marco Pierre White’s ‘L’escargot’, Eric’s time here allowed him to develop his craft, learning from Marco’s fine and classical style. After four years putting time in as head chef for a local restaurant, Eric travelled the world, gaining further experience from working in different kitchens. Whilst in Sydney, Australia, Eric worked under the late Bill Grainger in his three restaurants. Bill has been a huge influence for Eric having mentored him on creating good food with a modern twist.

On his return to the UK, Eric has taken the best aspects from his two mentors and manages to reflect these in his own personable & relaxed style. The restaurant has gone on to become multi award-winning.

At Erics we are proud that we source as much as possible from local providers:

Bolster Moor Farm Shop in Golcar is a thriving family-run business where well-butchered meat translates into beautifully succulent dishes.

Sailbrand is one of Yorkshire's leading fish merchants delivering the best quality, freshest fish & seafood to the restaurant in time for service.

Hartley's Bakery is a long established family-run bakery that bakes bread daily, with natural and fresh ingredients, which are sourced locally.

Andrew's Greengrocers are family-run business in Holmfirth who are passionate about providing their customers with local produce.

C J Milk in Holmfirth provide our dairy produce. Their products are locally sourced and delivered fresh to us in refrigerated vans.

The Flower Shop in Lindley is a family business set in the heart of Lindley. They help keep the restaurant well presented and floral.

Ampl in Honley supply our soft drinks, spirits and beers.

Bex’s Coffee in Marsh supply our freshly roasted coffee beans.

Just Jenny’s Farmhouse Ice Cream is the latest addition to our local suppliers - a family run business in Barkisland.
